Privacy Policy
Telisten
Last updated: September 6, 2026
This privacy policy describes how Telisten handles information when you use it. Telisten is published by Kitta Co.
Telisten does not send your Telegram credentials, messages, media, or listening history to Kitta Co. The app has no advertising SDK, analytics SDK, or Kitta Co backend service.
Telegram Account
Telisten connects directly from your device to Telegram using Telegram's MTProto protocol. Your phone number, login codes, account information, chats, messages, media, reactions, replies, forwards, and playlist channels are processed by Telegram when you use the related features. Telegram handles this information under its own terms and privacy policy. Telisten does not use a bot, proxy, or Kitta Co server for this connection. The Android app uses Telegram's TDLib library to make the direct connection. Telisten signs in to an existing Telegram account; it does not create a separate Kitta account.
If you configure a music-search bot, your queries and interactions are sent to that bot through your Telegram account. The bot operator can process those messages under its own practices. No search bot is configured by default. Comments and reactions are sent to Telegram only when you choose to post them. Listen Together sends session information and, when hosting, the app's playing audio to the selected Telegram group or channel; it does not record your microphone.
Lyrics
When lyrics are requested, Telisten sends the track title, artist, and duration to LRCLIB (or the HTTPS lyrics server you choose in Settings) to find a match. It does not send the audio file, your phone number, or your Telegram login credentials to the lyrics service. The service also receives network information such as your IP address when your device connects. Returned lyrics are cached on your device.
Data on Your Device
On iPhone, iPad, and Mac, Telegram authorization keys are stored in the system Keychain. On Android, Telegram session data is stored in TDLib's encrypted app-private database; its encryption key is protected by Android Keystore. Android cloud backup and device transfer are disabled for app data. Account labels, app preferences, the local music-chat index, favorites, downloaded audio, artwork, chat avatars, and lyrics are stored locally on your device. Telisten may automatically remove older cached files when its cache limit is reached. This local data is not uploaded to Kitta Co.
Your Controls
You can remove downloaded tracks in Telisten. Signing out removes the selected account's Telegram session. On Apple platforms it also removes Telisten authorization keys from the Keychain. Downloaded music may remain available locally after sign-out. Deleting the app removes its local app data through Android, iOS, or macOS. Reactions, comments, forwarded playlist entries, and playlist channels are Telegram content and can also be managed through Telegram. To terminate app sessions, use Telegram's Settings > Devices. To delete your Telegram account and the data Telegram holds for it, use Telegram's account-deletion controls or Telegram's account deletion page. This deletes your Telegram account, not just its connection to Telisten.
Platform and Distribution
Google Play, Apple, Telegram, and your lyrics service may process technical, account, or network information under their own policies when you download, authenticate, or use their services. That processing is not governed by this policy.
Changes
If Telisten's data practices change materially in a future version, we will update this page and, where required, provide notice through the app or its store listing.
