This privacy policy describes how the K-Card Reader app ("K-Card Reader") handles information when you use it. K-Card Reader is published by Kitta Co.

K-Card Reader does not transmit your personal data or usage data to our servers for analytics, advertising, account management, or profiling. The app is a focused utility for reading supported Korean transit cards.

Anonymized Transit Data Collection

K-Card Reader collects anonymized transit data to improve the program, including station and fare decoding, map coverage, and compatibility with supported Korean transit cards. The collected data is limited to technical transit-card fields such as station codes, fare values, route or record format hints, deduplication hashes, and related raw trip-record bytes needed for decoder research. It does not include your name, contact details, precise device location, payment account credentials, or personally identifiable account information.

Data on Your Device

Transit card information, scan results, saved cards, card artwork, and app settings may be stored locally on your device according to how the app and your operating system work. That data remains under your device and account unless you explicitly export it, sync it through platform services, or share it using operating system features outside our servers.

NFC and Transit Card Data

K-Card Reader reads supported Korean KS X transit cards through your device NFC hardware. Decoded balances, transaction records, station codes, route names, and related card metadata are used to show card details in the app. This processing happens on device except for anonymized transit data collection described above, or when you choose an explicit export, backup, or sync flow.

Platform and Distribution

Your device manufacturer, operating system provider, and app store provider may process technical, crash, purchase, or billing information according to their own terms and privacy notices when you download, purchase, update, back up, or use apps. That processing is not governed by this policy.

Changes

If K-Card Reader's data practices change materially in a future version, we will update this page and, where required, provide notice through the app or store listing.
