DNSimple
Last updated: July 18, 2026
This privacy policy describes how DNSimple handles information when you use it. DNSimple is published by Kitta Co.
DNSimple does not collect or transmit your data to Kitta Co. The app has no accounts, analytics, advertising SDKs, or Kitta Co backend services that receive your DNS requests, usage data, or local settings.
DNS Requests
When you connect DNSimple, it creates a local VPN configuration on your device so iOS can route DNS requests through the app. DNSimple forwards those requests only to the DNS server or DNS-over-HTTPS endpoint that you select. Those resolver operators are independent third parties, and their handling of DNS requests is governed by their own privacy policies.
Data on Your Device
Resolver addresses, DNS-over-HTTPS endpoints, optional DNS request logs, custom host overrides, and local usage statistics are stored on your device to provide the app's features. DNS request logs can include the domain name, query type, selected resolver, result, and timing information. This information is not uploaded to Kitta Co.
Your Controls
You choose which resolver to use and whether to capture DNS logs. You can disconnect the local VPN configuration at any time, disable logging, change or remove local settings, or delete the app and its data through iOS.
Platform and Distribution
Apple, your device manufacturer, your operating system provider, and your selected DNS resolver may process technical, purchase, billing, or network information according to their own policies when you download, configure, update, or use the app. That processing is not governed by this policy.
Changes
If DNSimple's data practices change materially in a future version, we will update this page and, where required, provide notice through the app or store listing.
