Miniscan

This policy describes how Miniscan handles information when you use the app. Miniscan is published by Kitta Ltd.

Camera and selected images

If you grant camera access, Miniscan processes camera frames in memory to recognise codes. Camera frames are not saved by Miniscan and are not sent to Kitta Ltd or any server.

You may choose an image through Apple’s Photos or Files picker. Miniscan receives only the item you select, processes it on your device and does not upload it. The Photos picker does not give Miniscan access to your full photo library.

Scan results and clipboard

Recognised code content, code type, scan source and scan time are kept in a bounded history in protected app storage on your device. History is excluded from backups. If you choose Copy Result or Copy Hex, the selected representation is written to the system clipboard.

Opening links

Miniscan does not contact a website merely because its address was scanned. A connection occurs only after you choose Open Link and, when shown, confirm the destination. iOS then opens the address outside Miniscan using the app selected by the system. The destination handles that request under its own privacy practices.

Third-party code

Miniscan uses ZXing-C++ as an on-device code recognition and generation library. It does not provide advertising, analytics, tracking, accounts or network data collection in Miniscan.

Retention and deletion

Miniscan retains up to 100 distinct results in local history. You can delete individual entries, clear the history inside Miniscan, or remove local data by deleting the app. Kitta Ltd has no copy of this history.

Children’s privacy

Miniscan does not knowingly collect personal data from children or any other users.

Changes

If Miniscan’s data practices change, this policy and its App Store privacy disclosures will be updated.
