This privacy policy describes how the Kikazaru app ("Kikazaru") handles information when you use it. Kikazaru is published by Kitta Co.

No Data Sent to Our Servers

Kikazaru does not transmit your personal data or usage data to our servers. We do not operate backend services for Kikazaru. There is no account to create, no analytics, no crash reporting, and no advertising. Nothing you configure or inspect inside the app is uploaded to us for any purpose.

Network Traffic

Kikazaru works by running a tunnel on your device so it can redirect requests to hostnames you have configured. It therefore sees network traffic while it is switched on. All of that traffic is processed on your device, in memory. None of it is sent to us.

Traffic that matches one of your rules is forwarded to the destination you chose in that rule. Traffic that matches no rule is carried through to its original destination without being opened. Kikazaru adds no destination of its own, and we have no visibility into either path.

Requests and responses shown in the Traffic tab are held in memory, are capped in size, and are discarded when the tunnel stops. They are not written to disk.

The Root Certificate

To decrypt the hostnames your rules match, Kikazaru generates its own certificate authority. The private key is created on your device, held in the device keychain, and never leaves it. We never receive it and could not make use of it if we did. Only hostnames matching a rule you wrote are ever decrypted.

Data on Your Device

Your rules and settings are stored locally on your device according to how the app and your operating system work, such as app sandbox storage or backups you control. That data stays under your device and account unless you explicitly share it elsewhere.

Platform and Distribution

Your device manufacturer and app store provider may process certain technical or billing information according to their own policies when you download or purchase apps. That processing is governed by their terms and privacy notices, not by this policy.

Changes

If Kikazaru's data practices change materially in a future version, we will update this page and, where required, provide notice through the app or store listing.
